Python Developers: Data Engineering, Data Visualization
Original posting
WeatherForce | Python Developers: Data Engineering, Data Visualization | Full-time | Toulouse, France | On-Site with for some remote working days
WeatherForce is currently looking for two experienced Python developers.
The first role will be focused on data engineering using tools such as Jupyter,
Pandas, NumPy, xarray and Dask. We are looking for someone with a developer
mindset as well familiarity with data engineering and a desire to grow in that
area. Please note that this is not a data science or data analysis position.
As a data engineer, you will collaborate with data scientists and build
solutions to help them do their work.
The second role will be about data visualization solutions based on libraries
such as Plotly, Dash and React. This position will involve working across the
full web development stack. It will also require to work with libraries
necessary to access meteorological data such as Pandas and xarray. We don't
expect a web developer to already know those libraries but you should be
willing to learn.
Both roles require familiarity with the Linux environment and a good software
engineering culture. You should have a high-level understanding of networking
and operating systems but also care about clean code and automated testing. We
will be testing your knowledge of those subjects during our hiring process.
Speaking French is not mandatory but we are looking for people who can come to
the office several days a week so you should be in the Toulouse area or willing
to relocate. We are currently not able to help you with immigration so you
should hold a permit to work in France or have EU citizenship.
Please send your application to jobs@weatherforce.org
