KEY2KEY | Remote Team (ANON/USA/EU) | Remote | Full Time
KEY2KEY is a Keybase fork that aims to implement a privacy and security focused decentralized architecture. We are reverse engineering the Keybase server code with the goal of allowing anyone to host an open source chat server.
KEY2KEY is a well-bootstrapped project born out of our own need and passion and we will grow the project as a meritocracy and technocracy; whoever wishes to participate is welcome. Some of our founders and developers are anonymous, including previous Keybase contributors. We think core anonymous contributors will be a great strength which will help us deliver a truly anonymous and decentralized messaging system built on strong preexisting foundations and primitives.
About the role:
We are looking for senior developers who will be responsible for building and maintaining our core protocol while growing and leading our dev teams. Anonymity is optional as long as you can provide relevant “proof of work”.
Skills & Experience
Full time security-minded backend golang engineer with experience in:
- Servers (devops/secops/architecture)
- Building secure APIs and safely using golang libraries
- English proficiency, and strong communication skills, so that you can easily coordinate with the rest of the team
The ideal candidate should have:
- Previous cryptography experience(ECDSA, ECDH)
- Network (netsec) experience to understand low-level components to ensure secure communications
- Previous experience working with distributed systems
- Previous experience with leadership and team building positions
