Illuminate Education | Lead Data Engineer | US only | Full time Remote Illuminate Education is a US-based Software as a Service (SaaS) student assessment and reporting platform used by K-12 administrators and educators to measure, analyze, and subsequently improve classroom and school-wide learning. The eduClimber team within Illuminate Education is looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our team to help shepherd the growing streams of data we ingest and analyze for our customers. The focus on the eduClimber product is to allow administrators and educators to integrate, correlate and analyze a wide range of student data. In doing so, decisions can be made at the district, school and of course the individual student levels. eduClimber provides a holistic view of each child to provide the support they need to succeed. In this role, you'll own our long-term strategy for ingesting, storing and managing our growing pool of data. In some ways, eduClimber is like a data warehouse, though it also incorporates operational features as well as ad-hoc queries and visualizations. Our backend is PHP with MariaDB on AWS RDS. The eduClimber team is fully-remote, with engineers all over the US. We use Jira, Slack and Google Meet for communications.
