3S Sensors, Signal Processing, Systems GmbH | Saarbrücken, Germany | REMOTE or ONSITE | https://3s-ing.de 3S is a small company based in Saarbrücken, Germany that develops gas measurement systems to detect tiny leaks, unpleasant odors or air pollution. We use advanced signal processing, statistics and machine learning to extract as much useful information as possible from various data sources, such as metal oxide semiconductor gas sensors, photoionization detectors, electrochemical cells, etc. We are looking for a senior software engineer for tools/infrastructure used to control and monitor our measurement systems. You would be working together with an amazing team of (software, mechanical, electrical, data) engineers to design and implement new solutions for our clients from the automotive, chemical, cosmetics and wastewater treatment industries (just to name a few). Our tech stack: - C/C++ for low-level firmware to sample sensors and control actors in real time (usually STM32 or ESP32 targets) - Python and Java for high-level measurement configuration, data processing and graphical user interfaces (JavaFX, PyQt) - Java (Spring Boot) on the backend with JS/HTML/CSS on the frontend You don't have to be an expert on all the areas mentioned above, but you should be willing to dabble in some of the ones you aren't super familiar with from time to time.
