Turquoise Health | Software Engineer (Django/Python, Full-stack or Backend) | REMOTE | Full Time
At Turquoise Health, we are working to make US healthcare pricing simpler, more transparent and ultimately lower for everyone. We’ve launched our free consumer website that allows anyone to search and compare healthcare prices, but we have a lot more in the works and we don't make our money selling to consumers. We are currently a team of 5, but we are growing quickly and have good traction in the healthcare industry and we've been featured in the press, including multiple major Wall Street Journal articles reporting on US hospital pricing.
We are looking for a Python Developer to join our engineering team. You would be the first full-time engineering employee and work directly with the founders. You would report directly to the CTO and have a large impact on the growth and direction of the development team.
This is the types of tech you'd be working with:
- Python (latest version), Django 3.x, and a wide range of Python libraries
- SQL databases, specifically Postgresql including features like Full Text Search
- Open source web infrastructure components, like memcached and Redis
- Cloud environments, including AWS and Heroku
- Large data sets and data pipelines, including private healthcare data
- A range of machine learning tools, which we use to process and enhance our data
If that sounds interesting to you and a good match for your experience, please reach out!
