Off World Live Limited | Senior Engineer | REMOTE (must have UK National Insurance number) - Off World Live is a research-driven technology company supported by back-to-back Innovate UK SMART grants as well as commercial usage of its products across various sectors. - Our main research for 2021-22 relates to enhancing interactivity in live streams from games engines to video clients with a particular focus on frame-accurate metadata. - We also maintain highly popular SPOUT plugins for OBS Studio and Unreal Engine currently used by +30,000 developers. We're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our team and help us with the building blocks of our games engine to streaming video pipeline. Key requirements: - 5+ years delivering complex coding projects with an emphasis on longer-term research-based tasks. - Experience working with modern cloud infrastructure ideally at scale. - Excellent understanding of internet network protocols (TCP, UDP) and how traffic is routed across the internet. - Extensive experience in C | C++ | Go | Rust or similar low-level systems programming language. - Experience working in a team environment. - Eagerness to break new technological ground. - Some experience of typescript / modern javascript [not essential] Compensation: - Competitive to market (tiered depending on candidate). - Options available.
