PROTOCOL LABS | Filecoin Research Project Manager Remote | $120K - $150K + FIL grants Protocol Labs is a fully-remote research, development, and deployment institution for improving Internet technology; projects include IPFS, IPLD, libp2p, and Filecoin. The Filecoin network achieves staggering economies of scale by allowing anyone worldwide to participate as storage providers using novel Proofs of Spacetime and Replication. On this robust global market, the price of storage will be driven by supply and demand, not corporate pricing departments, and miners will compete on factors like reputation for reliability as well as price. Seeking in particular a Research Project Manager to provide direction and intent to our ongoing research efforts in blockchain/distributed ledgers and cryptography, as well preparing for Filecoin's network launch. Current avenues of inquiry relate to consensus mechanisms, SNARKs, and depth-robust graphs, among others.
